Irish Coffee

Ingredients

45 ml Irish whiskey | (1.5 oz)
120 ml freshly brewed coffee | (4 oz)
30 ml cream | (1 oz)
10 ml [rich Demerara gum syrup](/recipes/rich-demerara-gum-syrup) | (2 tsp)
2 drops [saline](/recipes/saline)

Garnish

cocoa powder (optional)

Instructions

Brew coffee.
Warm mug by filling with boiling water, letting it sit for a minute, then discarding the water.
Add whiskey and syrup to glass then pour over coffee.
Lightly whip cream in a bowl then gently spoon over coffee mixture.
Dust with cocoa powder.
