Bleach Disinfectant
Ingredients
- 16 oz water, room temperature | (475 mL)
- 2 tsp unscented household bleach (5%–9% sodium hypochlorite) | (10 mL)
Instructions
- Combine water and bleach in a spray bottle.
Notes on Preparation
- ⅓ cup bleach per gallon of water
- 4 tsp bleach per quart of water
Cleaning Instructions
- First, clean visibly dirty surfaces with household cleaners containing soap or detergent before disinfecting with household bleach.
- Leave the diluted bleach solution on the surface for at least 1 minute before removing or wiping. The surface should remain visibly wet during the contact time.
- Make a new diluted bleach solution daily. Bleach solutions will not be as effective after being mixed with water for over 24 hours.
