Amaretto Sour
Ingredients
- 45 mL amaretto | (1.5 oz)
- 22.5 mL cask-proof bourbon | (0.75 oz)
- 30 mL lemon juice | (1 oz)
- 5 mL [rich gum syrup](/recipes/rich-gum-syrup) | (1 tsp)
- 1 dash Angostura bitters
- 3 drops [saline](/recipes/saline)
- 15 mL egg white (about ½ of a large egg's white) | (0.5 oz)
- cocktail cherry
- lemon peel
Instructions
- Add all ingredients except the egg white to a mixing glass.
- Add egg white, then immediately froth with an electric whisk until a uniform foam forms.
- Transfer the mixture to a shaker filled with ice. Shake then strain into a chilled old-fashioned glass.
- Garnish with lemon peel and cocktail cherry, if desired.
